Caleb Knott

Hi there! I’m Caleb, and I’m obsessed with photography. Originally from Spain, I moved to North Carolina at 24 to pursue a degree in architecture. I spent about six years working in the field before realizing that office life just wasn’t for me—I craved something more dynamic, something that got my adrenaline pumping. That’s when I made the leap into a completely different career and went back to college for nursing.

Today, I’m a Cardiac Critical Care Nurse, and I love what I do. One of the biggest perks of “nurse life” is the flexibility—it allows me to dedicate more time to my hobbies and creative passions, in my case photography.

Photography has always captivated me—not just as something to admire, but as something I’ve longed to create. As a kid, I spent countless hours wandering with my first simple digital camera, searching for moments to capture. I had no formal training, no real understanding of photography (and it showed), but I was fueled by curiosity and a relentless desire to learn.

Growing up, video games were limited in my household, but we did have creative programs like Photoshop. Through trial and error, I taught myself how to manipulate images, unintentionally gaining a foundation in key photography principles—brightness and contrast, exposure, color balance. These concepts, which I first explored through digital experimentation, are now essential to my composition and post-processing work.

In recent years, I’ve immersed myself in learning from seasoned photographers—reading articles, watching tutorials, and refining my craft with more advanced equipment. I wouldn’t go as far as to call myself an expert, but I’ve certainly come a long way. What continues to inspire me is photography’s power to evoke emotions and preserve memories in a way that words often can’t.

Thanks for visiting my website. I hope my experience encourages you to pursue your creative passions. If photography has taught me anything, it’s that the journey is just as rewarding as the final image.
